Spring garden.

 spring garden, pansy and muscari
Because of the beautiful weather the last days the tulips in my spring garden are colouring quickly! I think everything may be in flower when the garden will be open to the public on Friday and Saturday. Last week I have worked really hard, because everything has to be ready in time.

Here is my list with all tasks:
Break down the plastic greenhouse. Check
Bringing baskets outside and add flower bulbs. Check
Benches outside. Check.
Cut the hedge. Check
Mowing the lawn. Check
Weeding borders. Check. (Most of the weeds are gone)
Weed the shell path. Check
Swipe paths. Check
Clean up the “Meidenhok” (girls’ cave).

Huh, girl's cave? What is that? The girls' cave is a part of the barn in which I store my garden tools. Why did I give it that name? Every year again I have to explain this. Especially to men, who hardly dare to go inside! But of course they are welcome too.

During the open garden days I transform my tool shed into a little café to serve coffee in. In the girls' cave the visitors can also talk to each other. So it has to be cleaned up nicely.

It is unbelievable how much rubbish accumulates in one winter! And all that rubbish has to be dusted cleaned and ordered. I has cost me a whole day! But at the end of the day I can also tick off this task.

Clean up the “Meidenhok”. CHECK

All tasks fulfilled! Now I can fully enjoy my garden.

If you  would like to come and visit the garden, you are most welcome.
The spring garden is open Friday 20 and Saturday 21 April from 10.00-17.00.

  1. Oh how I would love to attend your tour!!! However, since I am on the other side of the planet, I think I must settle for only enjoying the pictures.
    Everything looked perfect.

    1. Someone agreed with me!!!! Someone other than a telemarketer valued my opinion!!!! I will share this with my family in hopes they will begin to listen to me. Nagging is tiresome.
