Sizzling summer heat.
The dew has gone
My garden stands motionless
In the blinding light.
Evening falls
An ever so gentle breeze.
The last rays of sunshine
Kissing the flowers
One by one
Goodnight.

ReplyDeleteDear Hetty, beautiful atmospheric photos, capturing the late summer mood perfectly!
ReplyDeleteI have a question: What is the name of the beautiful, dainty, pink flowering plant on photo number 6 and 7 counting from the bottom of the post? It is so lovely and is such a wonderful companion plant to the pink flowering rose. Would you be so nice to let me know? Thanks!
Warm regards,
Christina
Your poem captures a summer day in the garden. Lovely photos! The roses are vibrant. I have one last rose in my garden.
